Massage has been a form of treatment for thousands of years. It is a human reaction to put an arm around someone who is upset or rub the limb of a child who has fallen. It was Aristotle that argued that physical touch is the most fundamental of the five senses.

As well as being extremely relaxing, massage has many benefits. Circulation is improved, stimulation of the lymphatic systems helps to eliminate waste and toxins from the body, fatty deposits are broken down and skin feels softer and smoother. In short, massage promotes a general feeling of well being.
